Authorities arrest 13 area suspects on RICO violations

Thirteen people were arrested Wednesday morning in Baldwin and Wilkinson counties following a 13-month probe into illegal drug activities.

Local and state law enforcement authorities were continuing to seek the whereabouts of two other suspects in the case Thursday morning.

The lead investigating agency involved in the ongoing probe of criminal activities is the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Middle Georgia Gang Task Force.

Klay Kilcrease, special agent in-charge of the GBI Middle Georgia Gang Task Force said via a press release Wednesday that several law enforcement agencies took part in the investigation as well as the arrests. The agencies involved in the joint investigation, which was spearheaded by the GBI included: Milledgeville Police Department, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Department of Community Supervision, Georgia State Patrol, Georgia Department of Corrections, Dublin Police Department and Warner Robins Police Department.

Kilcrease said after 13 months of investigating the case that arrests warrants were issued against the suspects now in custody.

The following suspects are now jailed in the Baldwin County Law Enforcement Center. They include:

—Bobby Dean Dewberry, 39, of Milledgeville

—Joseph Lee Harrison, 46, of Milledgeville

—Cedeki Latredd Harris, 51, of Milledgeville

—Tom Burgess III, 50 of Milledgeville

—Akito Lajuan Brazial, 51, of Milledgeville

—Kadarius Tra-von Marquis Wilson, 21, of Milledgeville

—Cornelius Goodman, 56, of Milledgeville

—Eric Dixon, 47, of Gordon

—Dominique Cannie, 34, of Irwinton

—De’Andre Derelle Morris, 23, of Milledgeville

—Altouise Migule Harris, 52, of Milledgeville

—Stacey Lynn Spires, 52, of Milledgeville

—Nikia Eitchie Pinkston, 44, of Milledgeville

Kilcrease identified the two suspects still being sought as:

—Tony Alfonso Wright, 55 of Milledgeville

—Tyree Deshon Havior, 33 of Milledgeville

Those already in custody, as well as the two suspects still being sought, are charged with felony Violation of the Racketeer Influence and Corrupt Organization (RICO) Act.

Kilcrease said the law enforcement agencies who took part in the joint probe conducted it to make an impact on the current street level drug distribution within Milledgeville and Baldwin County.
