GRIMES: Kindness still exists

Yesterday (Jan. 28) I was in Walmart to buy a gift card and picked up a box of donuts while there. When I got to the PO to mail the gift card and reached for my wallet to get a stamp, I realized I did not have my wallet though my purse was on my shoulder! I didn’t remember if I had left it in my buggy or in the store. I immediately rushed back to Walmart to ask if anyone had turned in a wallet and miraculously, after describing it and the lady checking my picture with the license in my wallet, she gave me my wallet and I didn’t even know who to thank! She just said a nice young man had turned it in just minutes ago and everything was untouched. My credit cards, SS card and $55 in cash. Nothing was missing! Whoever you are, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is so good to know that kindness and honesty still abound among those people that were raised properly as this young man was. I hope you can sleep tonight with a smile on your face, knowing you did the right think, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
