The spread of COVID19 in our community is very serious. There have been 91 fatalities in our county from COVID19. The rate of infection in Baldwin County continues to grow at a serious rate. There are 122 counties in Georgia where the rate of infection is less (better) than Baldwin. That is a TERRIBLE statistic. We have a problem. We must do better.

None of us would choose to purposely cause injury to our families and our neighbors. COVID19 can cause serious harm to all of us. There are precautions and defenses we have all heard repeatedly that can decrease the spread of this very contagious disease. We have a choice to protect ourselves, our families, our neighbors, our employees and all who we come in contact with. Masks, social distancing, washing hands, and avoiding crowds are our primary defenses against COVID19.
It is important we continue to live our lives. Our economy must go on and must thrive. We live in a wonderful country and community where we all have great freedoms and liberties. Many in our community have chosen the freedom to ignore well known proven defenses known to decrease the spread of COVID19. An important question to those who ignore COVID19 guidance. Are you absolutely sure “your behavior” is not harming others?
No good neighbor would choose to do nothing if they thought their neighbors were in danger. No good business owner would allow their employees and customers to be harmed if they thought they may be in danger. Why do so many choose to ignore the guidance of numerous medical experts? Why do so many of our business owners choose to ignore or minimize protection of their employees and customers?
How can so many ignore accepted COVID19 precautions? For those who choose not to comply, your message is, I don’t believe and I don’t care. I have no responsibility for my neighbor.
Again the question, are you absolutely sure your behavior and business decisions do not harm others?
