Last year, we introduced an occasional segment in our Weekend Edition called Faith & Worship, which explores how local residents worship in our community.

Thus far, we have highlighted the oldest church in Baldwin County and several community outreach programs as well as some of the area’s forms of both traditional and non-traditional worship.
Additionally, every weekend, we dedicate a portion of our B Section of the paper to publishing information about happenings at area churches. We publish these briefs free of charge as a public service.
From church homecomings to special plays to gospel singers to guest speakers, we want to help you get the word out about events at your church.
What should you send? If your church is having a guest gospel group perform, for example, we’ll need the name of the group, where they are from and the date and time of the event. Be sure to include basic information such as the church name, the pastor and the address.
There are several ways to get your church news to us.
The easiest is by emailing us at newsroom@unionrecorder.com.

If you’re not email savvy, you can mail the information to us at 165 Garrett Way, NW, Milledgeville, Ga. 31061, P.O. Box 520; drop off the information at our office (we’re open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.). Please include an email or phone number so that we can contact you in case we have questions.
The deadline for church news for the upcoming weekend paper is Tuesdays by 5 p.m. If you have an event that’s two or three weeks away, we suggest you send it to us early so the information can run multiple times in the newspaper.
If you have a story suggestion for our Faith & Worship feature, please email faithandworship@unionrecorder.com.
We’d love to hear from you.
