This weekend, the local business community will page homage to its own at the annual Chamber Gala. The highlight of the program is always the announcement of the Small Business of the Year award recipient. This is an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the local business community during the past year and reflect on the value of local small business and the impact they have on the overall growth of the community.

This year’s honorees include Bodyplex, Tent-sational, Wells Fargo Advisors and Local Yolkal.
This award is an opportunity to highlight some of the local bright spots that shine light through an often dim and dreary outlook. These are businesses that we all interact with every day. These businesses help sustain Milledgeville and Baldwin County and help keep the local community going.
Small business owners not only contribute to the lifeblood of the local economy, but they also give back to the community they serve mightily through volunteer hours and contributions and sponsorships to numerous causes. Many small business owners are also actively engaged and in tune to the issues at hand because what impacts Baldwin at-large impacts local business.
This is an opportunity to recognize small businesses for what they contribute and honor them for their impact on this community. When these businesses succeed all of Baldwin County succeeds, and we should celebrate their wins by honoring their impact.
