Commerce, community and collaboration are cornerstones of the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber’s website. The business organization recently unveiled its renovated site designed by Goebel Media Group.

Chamber CEO April Bragg said Nick and Lauren Goebel made the website user-friendly and very appealing to consumer eyes. A fresh and inviting web presence transfers energy to the chamber mission.
“Our website is the front door to our community. We have one of the top ranked websites in Milledgeville and Baldwin County, so it’s important people feel like it’s easy to navigate,” Bragg said.
Previously, the website was hosted offsite, giving staff little opportunity to edit and update at the proper speed to keep the community and member businesses informed.
“The new platform allows for a much more streamlined approach. It’s fully editable. We can make all of the changes internally,” Bragg said. “Information really is our commodity. Being able to direct and share that in real time is a tremendous benefit.”
The three C’s approach incorporates other development authorities and groups with a joint vested interest in growing the area. Information about the Convention and Visitors Bureau, Development Authority, Mainstreet and the Central State Hospital Local Redevelopment Authority is a short click away.
“Connectivity is huge for us in the strategic partnerships that we have throughout the community. I think we are all focused on making those natural connections for people and linking the resources we do have,” the Chamber CEO said.

Now, residents can register for Chamber events online as well. Expanding member benefits by getting resources directly to them helps.
Bragg said technology allows the Chamber to reward business members who can’t attend all scheduled events. Real and effective web communication integrates individual owners and associates who do more with less in today’s climate.
The new website assists Chamber branding goals. Right now, everyone wants that competitive edge.
“One of the mantras I’ve taken away from Chamber training is innovate or die. The thought process is business as usual isn’t business as usual anymore. The definition of that has changed. We have to look at doing things smarter,” Bragg said.
