GANDY: What if we reduce the pressure?

Hasn’t anyone remembered that we just got a new pump online? I would guess the water flow (pressure) in our pipes is much higher than what we had previously. If it is possible to lower the pressure with the new pump, would the problem be fixed? The new pipes could then be installed. I don’t pretend to be an engineer, but it seems the hard work could be done by the wonderful, hard working men of the water department. We may have to dig deep in our pockets to get it done, but we can not live without water.
