GRIFFIN: Dear Georgia House District 149

Published 9:37 am Wednesday, November 13, 2024

I hope this message finds you well. As we reflect on the recent campaign, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and commitment. Your belief in our vision for a more equitable Georgia has been truly inspiring.

Throughout this journey, my opponent chose to use negative advertisements, attempting to paint me as a bully. I welcome that title if it means being a fighter—because that is exactly what I plan to be for all of Georgia’s House District 149. I will always stand up for our community and advocate fiercely for our shared values.

As we move into the next chapter together, I am excited to announce that I will be hosting two town hall meetings, called “Let’s Talk Politics,” before I am sworn into office. These meetings will provide a valuable opportunity for us to connect, and I want to ensure that I carry your voices with me on day one. Your insights and concerns are vital as we work toward our common goals.

Let’s Talk Politics Town Halls:

  1. The first town hall is going to be Dec 7th in Baldwin County at Trinity CME Church, 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
  1. The second town hall will be on Dec 14th at St. Paul AME Church, in East Macon from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.

(Note: Jones County HD149 constituents, are encouraged and welcome to come to either location that’s convenient for them).

Furthermore, I am committed to conducting town hall meetings each quarter, beginning after our legislative session between January and March. This will allow us to stay engaged and ensure that your needs and perspectives remain at the forefront of my work as your representative.

Thank you once again for standing with me. Your support means the world, and I look forward to continuing this journey together as we strive to make a lasting impact in our state and community.
