November First Friday: Touch-A-Truck & Touch-A-Truck Xtreme

- The Touch-A-Truck event in downtown Milledgeville.
Milledgeville Main Street in partnership with Georgia College & State University’s Wellness and Recreation Department is gearing up to host a First Friday Touch-A-Truck & Touch-A-Truck Xtreme event Nov. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. The 100 block of North Wilkinson Street will be OPEN to pedestrians for the event.
DJ Cut Master D will be playing musical favorites while cars, trucks and vehicles of all shapes and sizes line the street for viewing. A local car dealership, Beckham’s Used Cars, will spotlight the Touch-A-Truck XTREME with an unbelievable collection of locally owned Monster Trucks.
Heavy equipment and first responders’ lights will flash, and the crowd will have a chance to satisfy their curiosity by getting up close to explore the vehicles. This includes everything from fire trucks, bulldozer, a wrecker, MPD, BCSD, GSP, GMC PD, DNR and monster trucks.

Kona Ice will be on location with their slushies, along with a few other food trucks. Skyla Yates will be offering amazing face painting. First Friday sponsors and local nonprofit organizations will be on hand with free activities and games for the children.
“This is a unique opportunity to let community members of all ages see, touch and interact while learning about the vehicles and agencies on site,” said Carlee Schulte, Milledgeville Main Street executive director. “This free family event is something that everyone enjoys, and we are deeply appreciative of our partner with GC Wellness and Recreation departing as well as our event sponsors.”
Milledgeville Baldwin County Allied Arts is hosting a Music + Creator’s Corner at the Black Heritage Plaza. The event will feature Fall Line Rambler and local artists selling unique pieces from 6 to 8 p.m.
Enjoy The Milly Farmers Market, which is held every first and third Friday of the month from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Pavilion, located at 222 E. Hancock St. Local and sustainable farmers will be selling items to the community. The Milly Farmers Market is a double SNAP/EBT approved market.
