Deep Roots is coming soon and we are so excited! We know how tempting it is to have your furbaby tag along, but this isn’t a good idea for many reasons. ARF fully supports the organizers of Deep Roots in their decision to make this a pet free event.
While we absolutely adore our four legged friends, unfortunately a lot of people, especially children, don’t enjoy them as much and are often scared of them. While we may not understand, all of our community members deserve to have a good time and be comfortable.

Deep Roots is exciting and festive and sometimes loud. Smaller pets can be accidentally stepped on causing injury. Dogs that are usually calm in nature can become stressed or startled, causing chaos or even biting. While your dog may be perfectly well behaved and you may be the most responsible owner, by bringing your pet you are counting on that to be true of everyone at the festival. We all know that if something goes wrong, it will be the pet that pays the price.
Saturday, Oct. 19 will be a blast to spend with your family and friends, so please come out to the Deep Roots Festival! However, for the safety and comfort of everyone, please leave your pets at home. We hope to see you there!
