Grand jury indicts local teen on armed robbery charges

A Milledgeville teen accused of two counts of armed robbery is among several defendants recently indicted by a Baldwin County grand jury on criminal charges, The Union-Recorder has learned.
The robbery defendant was identified as Jamual Kenneth Evans, according to documents released by the Baldwin County Superior Court Clerk’s Office.

Evans was indicted on two counts of armed robbery, one count of theft by taking and possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 18, records show. At the time, the defendant was under the age of 18.
The case was investigated by Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Detective Reid White.
In a separate case, another defendant identified as Shondarius Lewis, was indicted on a felony charge of exploitation and intimidation of a disabled adult, elder person or resident.
The charge against Lewis resulted from a probe conducted by Georgia Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Christian Nesci.
In an unrelated case, three persons were indicted on charges associated with a rash of auto break-ins in the county.
The trio was identified as Jeremy Andrew Blizard, Halie Golden and Trevor James Sawyer.

Blizard was indicted on 12 counts of entering an auto and one count of financial transaction card fraud.
Golden was indicted on five counts of entering an auto.
The third defendant in the case, Sawyer, was indicted on 13 counts of entering an auto, one count of financial transaction card fraud, Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act (VGCSA) for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, VGCSA for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The case was jointly investigated by Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Detective Michael “Chris” Burrell; Milledgeville Police Department Detective Michael McLeroy; and Sgt. Gerald Phillips of the Georgia College & State University of Public Safety.
In a separate case, Bailey Dawson McDaniel was indicted on charges of home invasion and aggravated assault.
The case was investigated by Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Detective Robert J. “Bob” Butch.
In another case, a four-count indictment was returned against a Milledgeville man.
The defendant in that case was identified as Terry Gage Baxley.
Baxley was indicted on the following charges: criminal attempt to commit a kidnapping, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, battery, and public indecency.
The case was investigated by Milledgeville Police Department Officer Nikolai Pixley.
