The Exchange Bank Board of Directors and John C. Childs Jr., president and chief executive officer, are pleased to announce the recent promotion of Heather Cook to business development officer.

Cook began her career at Exchange Bank working part-time in 2006 in data processing. Shortly after, she became a full-time teller and has held various positions over the years, including vault custodian, administrative assistant in marketing and mortgage origination, loan processor, assistant mortgage operations supervisor, and loan operations manager.

Cook was promoted to business development manager in 2020 and has done an outstanding job in elevating Exchange Bank’s marketing and business development.

In addition to her 16 years of service at Exchange Bank, Cook is passionate about serving the Milledgeville community. She is currently a member of the Milledgeville Exchange Club and served the Milledgeville Jaycees board in past years.

“What I love most about my position is that I am able to impact others through the community efforts of the bank,” Cook said. “Whether we are assisting customers with financial needs or volunteering in our community, I’m constantly working on something that helps others, which is very rewarding.”

A Milledgeville native, Cook and her husband of 12 years, Jeremy Cook, have two boys, Nash (5) and Eli (2). In her spare time, Cook enjoys photography, baking, and hitting the gym.
