JMA alum Bryant signs with Eagles

John Milledge Academy alum and NFL tight end Harrison Bryant is headed to his third pro football team.
Bryant on Thursday agreed to terms with the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles on a one-year deal. NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported that the contract is worth up to $2 million.
The 26-year-old JMA Class of 2016 grad will make the cross-country move from his previous post with the Las Vegas Raiders to Philly where he will add depth to the tight end room behind veteran Dallas Goedert.

Through five years the 6-5, 230-pound Bryant’s career totals stand at 877 yards receiving on 98 catches with 10 TDs. He’s also known as an above-average blocker along the line of scrimmage.
Following an outstanding senior season at Florida Atlantic University, Bryant was taken by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He played out his rookie contract there before signing with Las Vegas following the 2023 season. That second deal was worth $3.25 million.
Last season in Vegas, Bryant saw snaps in 13 games, starting three. Working behind rookie phenom Brock Bowers and NFL vet Michael Mayer, Bryant caught nine balls for 86 yards and no touchdowns as a Raider. He also missed some time in the middle of the season with an ankle injury.
