Baldwin Co. gets 3 district winners

Baldwin County had reason to celebrate on the hardwood a couple of weekends ago.
Three local youth All-Star basketball teams – the 12U, 10U, and 8U boys – won their respective Georgia Recreation and Parks Association district championships this season. They all went on to represent Baldwin County in the GRPA Class B state championship tournaments held across the state this past weekend. Each team put its best foot forward, but lost out in the opening round of bracket play.
The 12U team won its pool play game against Villa Rica 56-34 before being knocked out by Camden County. The 12U team was: Clayton Becker, Da’Ron Brown, Caleb Bryan, Jayden Cleveland, Jack Goodson, Elijah Henry, Maddox Kilby, Jordan Lester, Jayce Peters, and Blake Wright. The team was coached by Bo Kilby.

The 10U team lost in pool play to Emanuel County before dropping its bracket game to Stephens County. The 10U team was: Hudson Attaway, Carmelo Gray, Shannon Harper, Karden Henry, Keelan Jackson, Keymon Lumpkin, Mason Mitchell, Jason Reeves, Kingston Washington, and Dezmen Williams. They were coached by Chris Huff.
The 8U team lost a close pool game to Burke County before falling from the bracket due to a loss to East Jackson. The 8U team was: Travares Benford, Danye Butts, Saqoi Cantrell, Beckett Fountain, Hunter Hawkins, Nathan Kilby, Josiah Prosser, Javen Stanton, Xavier Whitlock, and Jayce Womble. They were coached by JT Stanton, coach Womble, and coach Hawkins.
