Editorial

A few years ago, we launched a project highlighting local up and comers on our annual Milledgeville Scene 20 Under 40 list.

Our 20 Under 40 recognitions have highlighted many deserving individuals with these qualities for their contributions and dedication to their professions and volunteerism in their communities.

While we have highlighted several deserving people, we know there are many others worthy of the honor as well — and we are imploring you to help us find them and share their stories.

We’re once again seeking nominees who are successful in their chosen fields, role models in their careers or leaders in their business or community.

If you know a shining star who is rising above and beyond to make an impact we encourage you to nominate them by emailing us. We will narrow down the field of nominees to 20 individuals who will be featured in our annual 20 Under 40 edition of Milledgeville Scene magazine. Nominees must be age 40 or younger this year, a native of Baldwin County, living or working in the local community or have a tie to the Baldwin County community.

Too often we point out what younger generations aren’t doing. This is a chance to shine a light on what some are doing, with the hopes of inspiring others of all ages.

We’re seeking nominees who are successful in their chosen fields, role models in their careers or leaders in their business or community.

Nominating is fast, easy and a great way to recognize deserving young leaders. Email nlinder@unionrecorder.com and provide a name of the person you wish to nominate and briefly explain why you think they should be featured.

The deadline to nominate is Sept. 20.

If you know an “up-and-comer” who is blazing a path in their community, nominate them today. Help us highlight these high achievers for this most deserving recognition.
