Exchange Bank Board of Directors elects Cullars as new advisory board member

Exchange Bank’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the election of Kyle Cullars as an advisory member to the bank’s board. 

He is the owner/operator of Surcheros Fresh Mex of Milledgeville and Warner Robins and a Realtor with the Kimi Clements Team of Keller Williams Georgia Communities. 

Cullars was the valedictorian of his high school class at Georgia Military College and then went on to continue his education at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, graduating with honor, obtaining his bachelor of science degree from the College of Architecture. He then pursued and obtained his master’s of business administration from Georgia College & State University. 

Cullars began his career in 1994 as vice president of Marsh Construction Company, a residential design-build firm in Atlanta. In 1998, he went back to his alma mater, Georgia Tech, serving as Project Director II in the office of the Associate Vice President for Auxiliary Services. In 2000, he joined the staff at Georgia College & State University (GCSU), serving as assistant vice president for Auxiliary Services and Organizational Development. During his time at GCSU, he also held the positions of interim vice president for Administration and Operations, interim director of Facilities Operations, interim director of Human Resources, and interim associate vice president for University Communications. He retired from GCSU in 2021.

His community involvement has included being a member of Rotary, serving on the board of directors for Milledgeville Main Street/The Downtown Development Authority, a member of the Milledgeville Historic Preservation Commission, and a board member of the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce. 

Cullars has served in the past as a church deacon for 20 years and was chairman for two years, as well as church treasurer and a Bible study teacher. He and his wife, Debbie, have been married for 28 years and are the proud parents of two adult sons, Taylor and Connor.
