The extremely high salary of the Baldwin County School superintendent, set by the Baldwin County Board of Education, is ridiculous.
What are they thinking of? This is Baldwin County, Georgia with a student population of 4,588.

According to Baldwin 2K, our school superintendent salary for 2023 was $329,681 plus travel allotment of $12,758. In plain English, the school superintendent makes more than the sheriff of Baldwin County, who has a very important and dangerous job, more than a superior court judge, more than the governor of the great state of Georgia, and a little shy of the President of the United States of America.
Also according to Baldwin 2K, on Jan. 19, Baldwin presented its report card. It states that the Baldwin County School District consistently finished around the bottom 10% in many of the key measurements.
Giving that salary, what has she done to really improve our school system? No wonder that our property taxes are high. Changes definitely need to be addressed.
