Goldie & Co. boutique a new addition to Wayne Street

Colby Sinclair Fournier grew up in the Lake Oconee area and is a graduate of John Milledge Academy. While she recently obtained her real estate license and works for Fickling & Company, Fournier has a couple of other passions. 

Whenever she is not working, Fournier loves to travel and explore unfamiliar places. Her other joy is fashion. One of the fun things about it for her is being able to keep up with the latest trends and style evolutions. 

Given her longstanding love for fashion, it is not really a surprise that Fournier opened a boutique. Located in Milledgeville, Goldie & Co. (which gets its unique name from Fournier’s mini springer doodle of the same name) originally opened in February and recently moved to a new location. 

There was not much thought on her part to opening anywhere besides Milledgeville. She set up shop at 136 S. Wayne St. in downtown Milledgeville earlier this month and it has been a solid match. 

Fournier said that the area has an “excellent” vibe that fits what she was looking for in a new location. A big plus to the new location is the fact that the store is in walking distance of many downtown attractions. 

Having such a prime spot should help business in her estimation.

She said the local community has been “amazing” thus far and incredibly welcoming to the store.

At Goldie & Co., customers will find a wide range of items for sale — everything from shoes to jewelry and clothes for every occasion. In addition, the store does professional embroidery for commercial companies on items like hats, jackets, shirts and more.

What makes them a unique place to shop, according to Fournier, is the vast inventory of products and outfits.

“No matter your age or occasion, we have something for everyone,” she said. 

As the fashion world evolves, customers can count on Goldie & Co. to do the same over time. “We are constantly updating the inventory,” Fournier said. 

She said the store gets new brands and items in weekly and sometimes even daily. The Facebook page is updated with new arrivals as they come in. Customers can also check out the website to see what is currently in stock.  

There are also daily deals and discounts, which are posted on the store Facebook page. And as Black Friday approaches, Goldie & Co. will also have plenty of deals. 

One of the things that Fournier is most excited about is people coming in to see at the store is their upcoming holiday collection. She promises it will be “epic” and feature not only the latest trends, but classic outfits as well. 

Fournier said she enjoys running Goldie & Co., but her favorite aspect is easy to pinpoint. 

“I love meeting all the new clients and customers,” she said. “I enjoy when people feel amazing in their new outfit and post photos on social media and tag Goldie & Co.”

Opening Goldie & Co. and being part of the community is a “dream come true” for Fournier.
