The following is information compiled from public records of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Milledgeville Police Department
Theft
An officer responded to the area of the 200 block of South Liberty Street July 1, in reference to a theft. The complainant stated that a chair was missing from his deck. The homeowner said he would review the video footage.
Stolen Debit Card
An officer responded to the Milledgeville Mall July 1, in reference to a stolen debit card. The complainant stated that she left her card in one of the stores and reviewed the camera footage, which showed an unknown female picking up her card and leaving. There were three transactions on her card she did not make. She contacted her bank and locked her card.
Simple Battery
An officer responded to a restaurant on West Hancock Street July 2, in reference to a fight or disorder. The complainant stated that a male was causing issues on the premises. He was drunk and bumped into another customer. The officer located the male and he was not wearing a shirt and acting belligerently. Due to the other person who the male bumped into being gone, no charges were made.
Entering an Automobile
An officer responded to the area of the 1000 block of North Jefferson Street July 2, in reference to an entering of an automobile. The complainant stated that his wallet was missing from his truck.
Damage to Property
An officer responded to the area of the 100 block of Lake Drive July 3, in reference to damage to property. The complainant stated that s SUV struck her and her neighbors mailboxes and drove away. The neighbor said that he did not want to press charges. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
Theft
An officer was flagged down on Lakeside Drive July 3, in reference to a car crash. The officer observed a car parked halfway on the curb and halfway on the roadway. The car was turned off but the car was in gear and the key was in the ignition. The registered owner stated that the vehicle was stolen from her apartment.
Discharge of a Firearm
An officer responded to the area of the 2000 block of Anthony Way July 3, in reference to shots fired. A single shot was fired when a male and a female had an argument and the female pulled out a gun and pointed it at the ground. Once the male saw the firearm, he attempted to disarm the female and she accidentally pulled the trigger. The female was taken into custody for discharging a firearm within city limits and reckless conduct.
Damage to Property
An officer responded to the area of the 600 block of West Franklin Street July 4, in reference to damage to property. The complainant stated that someone intentionally damaged his vehicle. There were faint scratches on the truck and damage to the front bumper that was not there the previous day.
Criminal Trespass and Simple Battery
An officer responded to the area of the 200 block of Habersham Street July 4, in reference to a female subject entering his home and attacking him. The complainant stated that the female knocked on the door he opened it and she struck him. She excited the residence and was observed kicking his vehicle and spitting on it. There was no physical evidence and the female stated that she never put her hands on the male or kicked his car. Due to conflicting stories, no warrants were taken out.
Battery
An officer responded to the area of the 1000 block of Dunlap Road July 9, in reference to a physical altercation. One party stated that a female struck the other female without warning. The other party stated that the female came at her with a box cutter but were separated before any physical contact could be made. Due to conflicting statements no charges were filed.
Lost Mislaid Property
An officer responded to the area of the 2000 block of Sherry Circle July 9, in reference to lost or mislaid property. The complainant’s daughter who stated her mother believes her gun was stolen. The daughter believes that her mother misplaced the gun because she hurried out of the house. The officer could not locate the gun inside of the residence.
Entering an Automobile
An officer responded to the area of the 100 block of East Burke Street July 10, in reference to a theft. The victim stated that someone stole her gun out of the glovebox in her car. There was a possibility that her window was left open.
Damage to Property
An officer responded to a hotel on North Columbia Street July 11, in reference to a vandalized vehicle. The complainants stated that their son’s car was damaged by his ex-girlfriend. The car had deep scratches to the paint on the driver’s side and both driver’s side tires appeared to be stabbed. The ex-girlfriend posted a video on social media showing her pulling up to the car but it did not show her doing the damage. Due to lack of evidence and the parents unable to provide a last name of the girlfriend, no charges were filed.
Property Damage
An officer responded to the area of the 100 block of Legacy Way July 11, in reference to a property damage. The complainant stated that he hit a pothole on Vinson Highway which caused a crack on the inside of the front driver wheel. In addition, both driver side tires were flat.
Fraud
An officer responded to the Applebee’s on Roberson Mill Road July 13, in reference to fraudulent activity on an employee’s bank account. The complainant stated that he believed someone changed her PIN number to his debit card. Not money was missing from his card but he wanted to report it in case money went missing. He activated a new debit card.
Battery
An officer responded to the area of the 100 block of East Hall Street July 13, in reference to an assault. The female complainant sated that her neighbor stuck her with an extension cord and threw a radio at her head during an argument. The neighbor stated that the female came up to his door trying to sell him food in exchange for marijuana. He told her to go away and she became hostile toward him and his girlfriend. Another neighbor gave the same account as the male and both parties stated that the female complainant has a known drug problem and becomes hostile when she does not get her way. Due to conflicting statements, no charges were filed.
