The following is information compiled from public records of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Entering Automobile/Stolen Firearm

An officer met with a man on Jan. 15 regarding a stolen firearm. The man said that we went to a party on New Year’s Eve and someone stole his Springfield XDS 9mm pistol with the serial number HG957218 from his driver’s side door.

Assault

An officer met with a woman on Jan. 16 at a residence on West Charlton Court. The woman said that her woman went to a party on Lake Drive and got into a fight with another man. She said both men had been drinking. She said her son was jumped by two other men and they kicked him in the face while he was on the ground. The man’s sister provided names of the offenders. He declined EMS treatment. Photos were taken of his injuries and the officer attempted to make contact with the three alleged offenders but was unsuccessful. 

Entering Automobile

An officer responded to a location on Brantley Way on Jan. 17. The officer spoke with a man who said he had video footage from Jan. 12, showing someone trying to break into his 2013 Nissan Altima. The footage showed what appeared to be a man in light-colored pants and a hoodie, wearing a backpack walking up to the vehicle and shining a flashlight in the car. The subject did not enter the vehicle. The subject can be seen walking behind the car and looking into the camera mounted above the front door.
