Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene and assisted with traffic control on Log Cabin Road, which was shut down in both directions for an extended period.

Deputy Capt. Lee Williamson, who oversees the road patrol division, said the crash involved a Mercedes van that flipped over on its side following a collision with the driver of a swimming pool service truck.

The wreck, which reportedly happened shortly after 9 a.m., was investigated by Sgt. First Class Scott Harrell, commander of the Georgia State Patrol post in Milledgeville.
