LAV Plumbing boasts decades of experience

Luciano “Lu” Villarreal got a feel for plumbing at a young age. He worked with his dad at his water feature and landscaping business as a child. He worked for a water softener company when he was a teenager. By his 20s, he was plumbing with a company in San Francisco in residential new construction and service.
His final stop before moving with his wife and kids to her hometown of Milledgeville was along Lake Tahoe where he worked in custom residential new construction plumbing and commercial plumbing in the casinos.
After moving to Milledgeville, Villarreal worked for a licensed plumbing company for two years before sitting for his plumbing license exam. He started his own company, LAV Plumbing, once he received his license in 2011.

When Villarreal started the business, he was determined to “stay true to his belief that quality counts.”
He wanted to bring the quality he provided in over two decades of experience to his community.
Located at 2941 N. Columbia St. in Milledgeville, LAV Plumbing is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The storefront opened in 2015.
LAV Plumbing offers services as small as unclogging drains to as big as new construction builds. LAV plumbers can repair small leaks, repipe water or sewer lines, and completely repipe a home. They specialize in several areas, including residential, commercial and new construction plumbing. The business is also equipped to deal with tough repairs such as the replacement of old pipes, leaking gas lines, and sewer line repairs.
LAV Plumbing primarily does custom plumbing work, which is based on a bid. However, the business does do standard service calls like a sewer line cleaning or replacing a faucet, which can range from $225 to $450.
There’s no way that Villarreal could run LAV Plumbing on his own, even with decades of experience. It takes dedicated staff members like Johnna Tyson and a small but mighty crew. Tyson started at LAV a little more than year ago to dip her toes into the construction industry.

“The team there has given me such support in broadening my knowledge and experience,” she said. “I wouldn’t be able to have found that as easy anywhere else.”
Working with such a small crew makes it feel more like family as opposed to a job for Tyson.
Tyson is quick to point out what else she enjoys about working at LAV Plumbing.
“I love the variety of the challenges we face. No two jobs are ever the same and it keeps things interesting and our team learning,” she said. “Plus, I get to work with a great crew.”
What makes LAV Plumbing stand out from other businesses is that the master plumber is on-site at their projects. Quality, professional service from experienced plumbers is what customers can expect no matter how big or small the job.
Being able to open LAV Plumbing and be part of the Milledgeville community means a great deal to everyone who works at LAV. It drives them when they come in every day and helps them keep going.
