MillyVegas Nutrition establishing its brand

Marsha McCullough’s life and career path took an interesting road. 

For more than 25 years, she worked in the transportation field. McCullough has owned Tremar Logistics, a transportation brokerage business, for 11 years. In recent years, she began enjoying Herbalife Products, which led her to become an Herbalife distributor.

Given this new passion for Herbalife, McCullough said she toyed with the idea of opening her own nutrition club for a couple of years. She came close to buying one before the owner decided to do something different. But when the opportunity emerged to buy MillyVegas Nutrition, McCullough could not pass it up. The process moved quickly, with McCullough and her husband visiting the location on a Sunday afternoon and purchasing the building the following Thursday.

MillyVegas Nutrition has been located at 1954 N. Columbia St. in Milledgeville for the past four years under various owners and different names. McCullough opened the doors as the new owner in September. The business is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

She said she loved the idea of being in a small town, which is partly why she purchased this business. 

“Being in a small town gives you the opportunity to really get involved in the community” McCullough said. “I grew up in a small town and like the feel of that.”

Their menu has a ton of variety, including loaded teas and specialty drinks, which are the most popular items. Customers can grab beauty drinks and meal replacement shakes along with several different add-ons for drinks as well. 

MillyVegas Nutrition additionally has protein bars, protein chips, greens shots and donut hole shots. If that is not enough, they are currently adding new items, including Herbalife’s Rebuild Line, which McCullough plans to introduce in 2025. 

MillyVegas also offers curbside pickup and delivery. 

Gift cards and to-go-packets are available, which McCullough says are “great stocking stuffers and gifts for anyone special in your life.” 

MillyVegas is also collaborating with Milledgeville’s Hydrate and Revive Medical Spa. As part of this collaboration, they created two new drinks for the spa. Anyone who comes in and gets one of them will receive a 10% discount card to Hydrate and Revive Spa to be used on one of their medical treatments.

Business has been good so far, according to McCullough. They have worked hard to rebrand and get out into the community, which has been welcoming. 

“We still have a long way to go, but I know if we continue to work hard and prove to the community we’re here to stay, they will continue to support us,” McCullough said. 

What McCullough said she loves most about running MillyVegas is meeting new people in the community and getting to know regular customers. 

“When you know your customers and families by their first names, it sets you apart from the competition,” she said. 

Being able to open MillyVegas Nutrition and be part of this community has been a humbling experience for McCullough. 

“If I can bring one smile or something positive to one person’s life, I’ve done my job,” McCullough said.
