Legends Seafood & Grill has settled in near Lake Sinclair

After opening their doors in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Legends Seafood & Grill has managed to settle in near Lake Sinclair. 

The restaurant is family owned and operated by Rance and Angela Williams. Rance was born and raised in Milledgeville, and although he started a health care company in 2008, he said he had an itch to check one item off his bucket list — opening a restaurant. 

He and Angela discussed it, agreeing that they both wanted to bring something to Milledgeville that they had experienced elsewhere in terms of the types of food and overall experience. 

They kept pushing forward until the restaurant became a reality. Located at 3021 Columbia St in Milledgeville, Rance and Angela found the space and made several upgrades to fully match the vision that they wanted. The result, according to Rance, is an appealing and classy space where customers are welcome. 

As the name implies, Legends Seafood & Grill features freshly prepared seafood items and grilled dishes. 

“We prep on a daily basis and we have a turn time that is more conducive to a sit-down dinner,” Williams said. 

The Legends Platter features crab cakes and fillet or bone-in fish. Legends also offers seafood pastas, steaks, burgers (including a vegetarian burger) and more.

Legends also has signature cocktails made in-house, such as the Rock the Boat. 

On Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Legends offers brunch alongside its regular menu. Some of the favorites on the brunch menu include chicken and waffles, a seafood omelet, and the Legends Breakfast Platter. 

Legends also features a party room that seats up to 50 people, which according to Willams, is often used for birthday parties, private meetings/family functions and more. Williams says that Legends Seafood & Grill has grown a lot since its opening, and that has a lot to do with listening to customer feedback. 

Williams said running the restaurant offers him a unique chance to meet new people in the community, which he enjoys. He said it means something to him, Angela and their staff to bring a restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere to Milledgeville. 

Legends Seafood & Grill is open on Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to midnight, and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
