Lady & Sons Moving Company available to assist movers

LaTasha Giles is quite the accomplished woman. 

Born and raised in Milledgeville, she is a mother and grandmother. She spent years working in several different fields before opening her own business. 

Giles says that one of her points of emphasis, regardless of where she worked, has always been providing excellent customer service. 

That mindset of providing the best for customers followed Giles to her current venture, Lady & Sons Moving Company, which opened its doors in 2021. 

The business has a lot of significance to her and her family. Its origins can be traced back to the fact of Giles and her children moved a fair amount over the past few years. 

“Whereas moving is a stressful time, for us it meant a new start,” Giles said. “We wanted to help ease some of that burden for people, especially for our elderly clients who may have no one to help them.”

Giles and her sons opened her business in Milledgeville because they saw a need. So many people, they noticed, were looking to move and did not have the means to do so. Their aim has always been to show their clients that they do not have to face what can become a difficult task alone. 

Lady & Sons Moving Company offers several client packages and provides services to both businesses and individuals. The business focuses primarily on loads and unloads. The business also offers full-service moves where staff pack items for customers. These moves also come with furniture assembly as well as appliance hookup and trash removal. 

Loads and unloads start at $399, while full-service moves start at $599. The business is currently only able to move within Georgia but will expand soon. Giles said that by spring, Lady & Sons Moving will be interstate regulated and its trucks “will be ready to go anywhere in the United States.”

Giles said she founded Lady & Sons Moving Company to be able to pass something on to her children and grandchildren. She also enjoys helping people, which is why Lady & Sons features reasonable prices and a willingness to work with clients every step of the way.

Giles said she has maintained her passion while working for other companies but never thought she could run one of her own. 

“God put this vision in my head years ago and I shied away because my faith wasn’t as strong at that time,” she said.
