Ambition Studios is located at 30 N. Wayne St. Unit B in Milledgeville.

Twenty-two-year-old Bryce Raburn wears many hats. He’s a freelance musician, producer, engineer and musical arranger. The Georgia Military College Preparatory School alum also earned his bachelor’s degree in music production from Full Sail University in 2022.

His father, Clint, is the band director at GMC Prep, and his mother, Amy, is the community outreach pastor at Northridge Christian Church. He said that music has always been part of his life: Whether it was through playing the drums and keys at Northridge, watching his father’s band perform, or the countless hours he has spent making and producing his own albums before he even decided to make this a career.

“I thank God every day for the gift of music,” he said.

Raburn is also the owner of the new Ambition Studios in Milledgeville. He has already worked with a host of artists including rapper Lil Baby, singers Summer Walker, Teyana Taylor, Mr. Talkbox, 6lack, Montell Jordan and others.

Located at 730 N. Wayne St. Unit B, Ambition Studios opened its doors on Nov. 16. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 11 to 2 a.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. The studio offers recording for single artists, bands and also podcasts as well as music direction, full production of projects, and it is a live performance space.

If that is not enough, Ambition Studios can serve as a rehearsal space for bands or groups that are around or travel to Milledgeville for a performance or event. Raburn also hopes to offer classes on production and recording techniques in the future.

Raburn said that opening his own studio has always been a dream of his, and he is thankful to God for providing him the opportunity to do so.

“I always dreamed of having a space where I could invite people to come and jam, record, create and collaborate,” Raburn said. “My parents have always taught me that music is the universal language, and there is something about making music with people that no feeling nor any other activity can replace.”

Raburn had a goal to make studio booking as user-friendly as possible. Booking is available at ambitionstudios.online through clicking on the “book” button to go to the booking link. There is also an “Our Rooms and Services” tab with more details.

Ambition Studios offers Atlanta quality without having to make the drive, according to Raburn.

“Single artist sessions range from $60 to $75 an hour with our in-house recording engineers and $60 an hour if you bring your own recording engineer,” he said “Band/group sessions are $150 an hour for rehearsals/recording and podcasting is $60 an hour including editing.”

Beginning Dec. 10, Raburn and Ambition Studios will offer a Christmas special through Dec. 23.

What does Raburn enjoy most about running Ambition Studios? It all comes down to being able to help others.

“I love getting to see people accomplish their dreams. Music is something I believe a lot of people dream about making and I’m so blessed to walk into that studio every day and hear the art that people make,” he said. “People’s songs and creativity really inspire me and I’m just so glad that I’m able to be a vessel to spread the overflowing talent that Milledgeville and the surrounding areas have to offer.”
