Tri-CoGo, Tri-County EMC’s broadband affiliate, recently celebrated a huge milestone with the installation of its 5,000th customer.

On Wednesday, July 19, Tri-CoGo installed service to APX Powersports, a new preowned watercraft shop located in Milledgeville. Community members including the Milledgeville-Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, Georgia College & State University, and Better Local Radio stopped by to help commemorate this achievement.

The Tri-CoGo team is pleased with the overwhelmingly positive reviews and gratitude from both current and future customers. “The response of our members to Tri-CoGo and the way it has changed their lives is proof that we did the right thing by bringing world-class fiber broadband to Middle Georgia,” said Ray Grinberg, chief executive officer of Tri-County EMC.

“I am extremely proud of our team for reaching this milestone. It’s a huge accomplishment for Tri-CoGo and for the community,” commends Greg Mullis, Chief Operating Officer. “I’m also proud of the trust placed in us by our customers and our community partners; for so many without connectivity, we changed our world.”

“We are honored to be able to bring a superior internet product to our customers by providing a 100% fiber network,” explained Joe Lightsey, Fiber Operations Manager. “This technology ensures that businesses such as APX Powersports will be able to serve the needs of the community.”

Since the launch of Tri-CoGo, the availability of rural connectivity to Tri-County EMC members has dramatically changed. In just two years, the cooperative has built over 1,400 miles of fiber and is adding nearly 400 new customers per month. “This is not only an achievement for Tri-CoGo, but a win for rural residents worth celebrating by everyone,” states Christopher Jackson, marketing coordinator.

Tri-CoGo provides a consistently top-quality product and prides itself on offering the best internet experience. Over 98% of Tri-CoGo customers rate their new internet superior to their previous provider. The fiber construction project is in its second phase, currently completing construction in Putnam County. The team expects nearly every Tri-County EMC member to have service availability by this fall. The service territory and zone availability schedules can be found atwww.tri-cogo.com.
