Owner Ashley Bacon, former executive director of Keep Milledgeville Baldwin Beautiful, works as a senior field rep for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). Outside of work, she is a mother to two sons who help her out with The Graze Co.
Her business was born out of the love she has for food and entertaining. The Graze Co. primarily offers charcuterie boards featuring food snacks for events, parties or home. Bacon tries to keep an open mind when it comes to the design of the boards and what they include.
“When The Graze Co. was born, I was limitless with the things that I provided my family and my friends. So, it really is up to the customer, if they have a dream, let’s make it happen,” Bacon said. “Food is food, and it’s wonderful and if somebody has a craving for something or its their favorite food, then absolutely.”
One of the primary charcuterie boards offered by The Graze Co. features a selection of three meats, four distinct cheeses, three to four vegetable or fruit selections, crackers and dips. This board, according to Bacon, feeds about 15 people.
The Graze Co. additionally offers individual graze cups, which come sealed and work well as teachers’ gifts. Bacon said that the business caters to sorts of events such as holiday functions, parties and grand openings.
One of the aims that Bacon has with The Graze Co. is to “take the fuss out of people having to worry about that one aspect of their party planning.”

She said her business gives customers a place that is local, featuring foods that pair well with wine and spirits, and has a dedication to making customers’ dreams for their events come true.
Bacon brings her created boards and individual servings to her customers. There are also times when she will create the boards on site. The business doesn’t have typical business hours, since Bacon also balances a full-time job, two kids and taking care of her parents. The Graze Co., she says, is something fun for her and her kids to do together.
“We love to bring joy to other people, and we just do it through food,” Bacon said.
They pride themselves on the presentation, which they consider part of the greatness of food.
The response to The Graze Co, according to Bacon, has been wonderful not only in Milledgeville but also in other areas, despite it not being a full-time business.
“I’m just here to be helpful, and when people reach out and I can make it happen, absolutely I’m sold out,” Bacon said “I’m thankful for those that have used The Graze Co., either be it for personal measure or entertaining others in their home or their office environment. I look forward to helping others make things special.”
Bacon said she emphasizes that every charcuterie board is made with love, which is extremely appropriate given that the business was born out of her own love for cooking.
