We at Animal Rescue Foundation are so excited to join you again this year for Deep Roots! We know how tempting it is to have your furbaby tag along for such a fun event, but this isn’t a good idea for many reasons. We fully support the organizers of Deep Roots in their decision to make this a pet free event for many reasons, the most important of which is safety.
Trending
Deep Roots is fun and festive and with that comes noise, some of which can be unexpected and frightening for your pet. Little ones are so low to the ground that they are easily stepped on and injured. Dogs that are usually calm in nature can become excited in such an environment, causing stress to the dog and the people around them. Dogs that are stressed or scared could bite, even though they normally would never do so. There is also the issue of the leashed dog getting tangled in the exhibits and around the tables in the food area. Unfortunately, there are even those pet owners who do not pick up after their dogs.
Keep in mind that there will be a wide variety of community members at Deep Roots, some of which are scared of animals, especially kids. They deserve to have a great time too.
Saturday, Oct. 22, will be a fun day to enjoy with your family and friends, so please come out to the Deep Roots Festival! However, please leave your pets at home where they will be safe and comfortable away from the large crowds and strange noises.
