KENT: More local enforcement needed around bypass

I live off West Hancock Street (Highway 49) in Milledgeville. As I drive around town, I’m faced with speed cameras and increased desire to limit speeders.

West Hancock from the bypass into town has a 40 mph. As a road in a residential community, this should really be 30 mph. That being said, even 40 mph limit is NOT regulated. Vehicles, from motorcycles to 18-wheelers, are going more than 60 mph on this stretch of Milledgeville’s roads. I’ve even been passed in the turn lane when I slow down for a turn.

Where is the local enforcement on this road.
