Criminal Trespass
An officer spoke with a victim on March 1 about a possible theft at a location in the 900 book of South Wayne Street. The victim said when he went into the location that morning for work, he noticed the back-rollup door was raised off the ground. He said there was copper wiring hanging from the ceiling and he believed that there may have been copper stolen. He said the copper could have been worth between $1,000 to $2,000.
Theft by Taking
An officer met with a victim on March 1, in reference to someone stealing items off her patio. The woman said someone stole a folding chair, valued at $20, three flower planters, valued at $20 and a ceramic stand, valued at $10, from her patio. She suspected that her niece took the items. The officer attempted to call the woman’s niece but had no response.
