Disorderly conduct
An officer responded to the Zaxby’s parking lot on North Columbia Street on Dec. 7, in reference to a disorderly conduct. According to dispatch, a man was asking for change when a fight ensued with another man. The victim was making a delivery next door when the man asked for change. The man grew upset and then punched the victim in the face. The man was arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to the Baldwin County Jail.
Criminal trespass
An officer responded on Dec. 12, to a location in the 500 block of North Jefferson Street in reference to a possible stolen vehicle. The officer spoke with a man who said that a 1971 Chevrolet Nova was parked in front of a service center and when he returned to the lot, the vehicle was missing. The man said he believed that a “snatch truck” or repo stuck took the vehicle, but there was no payment due. The officer attempted to obtain video surveillance footage from a nearby gas station but the cameras could not provide playback. The victim was advised that a port would be completed and the vehicle information would be entered into GCIC.
