An officer spoke with a man at the police station on Dec. 2. The man said that there were charges on his credit card that he did not make. He said he only used his card to purchase a storage building from Outdoor Options in Eatonton. His statement showed that there were also purchases made at Walmart and several fast food restaurants that he did not make. A Walmart employee pulled the transactions receipts for the card as well as video footage. The footage showed the same woman in every transaction. The woman used her phone to make payments. The officer spoke with a manager at Chick-fil-A who also pulled transactions for mobile orders and provided a phone number, name and vehicle make and model for the person who made the purchases. The manager also provided a tag number. The officer ran the vehicle information through the GCIC database as part of the investigation.
