Woman arrested in home burglary

MILLEDGEVILLE — The Milledgeville Police Department responded Friday to South Warren Street to investigate a home burglary. The burglary victim, Andrew Montez Brown, was convinced his neighbor was responsible, according the report.

The incident spilled over later that night sending the female neighbor to the hospital badly beaten. Brown was subsequently arrested for the beating incident, in which he admitted to the assault on the female.

Brown’s mother contacted Maj. Reggie Hill of MPD on Feb. 6 and expressed her concerns about a neighbor. Det. Kim Khan and Hill went to the residence next to where the burglary occurred.

In the back of the suspect’s vehicle were several items believed to belong to EMS or the hospital. EMS personnel arrived on scene and identified the items as belonging to Oconee Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Room, according to MPD.

The vehicle in question belonged to Tiffany Hill, who was a person of interest from the Feb. 1 burglary.

Hill answered the door after several knocks, disoriented and dazed. Several items that appeared to be for drug use were allegedly in plain sight.

According to police, after a brief interview Hill admitted to entering the Browns’ residence, intending on committing a theft.

Hill said Tiffany Hill was very cooperative and ultimately gave the stolen items to Khan. Several items were taken from the South Warren Street residence, while others were recovered at a residence inside Smith’s Mobile Home Park.

Hall was taken into custody and charged with burglary and theft by taking. More charges may be pending based on future investigative findings.
