MILLEDGEVILLE — Baldwin High School students in the Teens Against Tobacco Use (T.A.T.U.) organization held their first awareness workshop Thursday to teach nearly 70 peers about the effects of tobacco use in hopes to influence their generation to live a tobacco-free lifestyle.
The American Lung Association trained Latonya Hooks, a Georgia College intern, to work with the nine high school T.A.T.U. members on the health hazards of tobacco use. T.A.T.U. members in turn teach prevention lessons to peers and elementary and middle school aged youth.
