Childre Nissan hosts Sell-a-Thon with Georgia Cancer Support

MILLEDGEVILLE — Childre Nissan to raise money for Middle Georgia cancer patients by giving $100 to Georgia Cancer Support for every car sold Saturday.

I chose to get involved with Georgia Cancer Support because they are local to Milledgeville and 100 percent of their proceeds are used to assist local cancer patients and their families with any essential needs for quality of life. I hope this event will raise money for GCS and make our community more aware of Georgia Cancer Support and its mission,” said Jason Childre, manager of Childre Nissan.

Georgia Cancer Support will also donate a Georgia Package.” Milledgeville and Middle Georgia businesses have come together to sponsor a University of Georgia basket and a Georgia Tech basket. The winner will have the choice between baskets, which will include two tickets to the UGA vs. Georgia Tech game Nov. 24, lunch from Old Clinton Barbecue for four and collegiate gift items donated from Medical Arts Pharmacy and Ace Hardware.

To be entered in the drawing, Childre Nissan is offering a free ticket for anyone who test drives a car. Tickets may also be purchased for $10 each or three tickets for $25. A Phone-a-Thon will also take place, offering a chance to be entered in the drawing. Volunteers are always wanted. The drawing will take place  at 4:30 p.m. at Childre Nissan in Milledgeville.

Georgia Cancer Support will also have registration forms available for the Tee Off For Hope Tournament, tickets for the live auction and Italian dinner, which proceeds the golf tournament, as well as registration forms for the 5K.

Donations will be accepted and all proceeds will go to Georgia Cancer Support, which supports Middle Georgia cancer patients. Childre Nissan is located at 126 Roberson Mill Rd., NE next to Applebees Restaurant.

We hope to continue to get our name out to the community so cancer patients that need help will contact us and hope to raise money through this event to continue our efforts to help cancer," said Robbie White, president of Georgia Cancer Support. “We want to offer some fun as we join efforts to drive out cancer.
