MILLEDGEVILLE — Milledgeville’s first-ever Literacy Fair will feature almost 30 schools, organizations, churches and businesses Saturday to provide families valuable resources, entertainment and fellowship.

“This is the type of event that everyone can be proud of; it's fun, it's educational and it's a healthy community building exercise for everyone involved,” said Sarah Hamil, event chair. “There will be literacy resource information available, along with fun literacy games, face painting, poetry workshops, story times, bookmark crafts, readers theaters, a poster contest and much more.”
