MILLEDGEVILLE — Mr. Jerry N. “Smokey” Veal, Sr. and Mrs. Ann Graham Veal of  Milledgeville, GA announce the wedding of their daughter Sumer Graham  Veal to Howard Joseph “Jody” Conner, son of Mr. Howard Hugh Conner of  Monroe, GA and Mrs. Joey Conner Russell of Winder, GA.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Frances Adams Graham of  Milledgeville, GA.

The Matron of Honor was Mrs. Arlene Veal Alex, the sister of the bride and the Maid of Honor was Miss Ashley Ann Alex, the niece of the bride,  both of Athens, GA. The Honor Attendant was Mrs. Robin Vo Doherty, friend of the bride. The Best Man was Mr. K.L. Conner, brother of the groom, and Groomsman was Mr. Kennon Joseph Conner, nephew of the groom, both of Athens, GA.

The Flower Girl was Miss Reese Charlotte Conner, niece of the groom, and the Ring Bearer was Mr. Maxwell Fletcher Veal, nephew of the bride, both of Athens, GA.

The wedding took place Saturday October 15th, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at the couple’s home in Athens, GA. The wedding was officiated by Rev. Benson Bottoms and the bride was given away by her father, Jerry N. “Smokey” Veal, Sr.
