Mr. and Mrs. Owen Pittman of Milledgeville and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Thrift of Homerville are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laurie Anna Pittman, to Joshua Bennett Lee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lee of DuPont and Mr. and Mrs. James R. Johnson of Homerville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Manley of Homerville; Mrs. Gloria Pittman and the late Mr. Nathaniel Pittman of Milledgeville; and the late Ms. Majorie Edwards of Eatonton.
She is a 2009 graduate of Valdosta State University, where she is also currently enrolled in the Master of Communication Disorders program.
The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dempsey Bennett of Homerville and Mrs. Hazel Lee and the late Mr. G.C. Lee of DuPont. He is a 2009 graduate of Valdosta State University, and is currently employed at Henderson & Godbee Accounting Firm in Valdosta.
The wedding is planned for Jan. 2, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Homerville.
