Mr. and Mrs. Richard P. Scott of Warrenville, South Carolina, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Paula Anne Scott, to Staff Sergeant Kevin Dean Murray, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Broderius of Fontana, California.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Lt./Col. and Mrs. Marion E. Minor of Milledgeville; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther H. Scott of Ninety Six, South Carolina. Her other Milledgeville relatives include Mr. & Mrs. William Minor, Mr. Randall Hattaway, and Mr. and Mrs. Luther Minor. She is a 1990 graduate of Midland Valley High School, a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Biology, and did graduate work at Georgia College and State University. While at Georgia College, Paula worked with the Animal Rescue Foundation. She is currently employed as a middle school science teacher.
The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Irene Chip and the late Edward Chip of Hesperia, California; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Alvarez of San Bernadino, California. He is a 1990 graduate of Fontana High School in Fontana, California, and a graduate of Austin Peavy College with an Associate's Degree in Computer Science. He is currently serving in the U.S. Army 7th SIGCMD (T) and is stationed at Fort Gordon in Augusta.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, October 17, 2009, at St. John United Methodist Church in Graniteville, South Carolina.
