MILLEDGEVILLE —

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Thomas Couey of Milledgeville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Terah Christine Couey, to William Trey Lanier, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Lloyd Lanier of Snellville. 

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Matthews Jr. of Moultrie and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Thomas Couey of Glenwood. Christy is a graduate of GMC High School and Armstrong Atlantic State University where she received a bachelor's degree in radiologic science, specialty in radiation therapy. She is currently employed at S.E. Georgia Health System in Brunswick as a radiation therapist. 

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Leola Lanier and the late Mr. James Lloyd Lanier Sr. of Atlanta and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Linton Nix of Newborn. Trey is a graduate of Brookwood High School and Georgia College & State University where he received a degree is business management. He is currently an employee of Ferguson Waterworks in Union City and works in sales.

The wedding is planned for May 18, 2013 at Smokerise Baptist Church in Stone Mountain. The couple will reside in Braselton.
