MILLEDGEVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. Tony Budrys Jr. of Gordon are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Lynne Budrys, to Miles Summers Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gil Allen of Dublin and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Avery of Kathleen.  

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Budrys, Sr., Mrs. Ruth Davis all of Gordon, the late Mr. John Kimbell of Forsyth, and the late Mr. Richard Dudley Davis of Gordon.

Ashley graduated from John Milledge Academy.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of science degree in Early Childhood Education. Ashley earned her master’s in Counselor Education from Georgia Southern University where she was a member of Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society. Ashley is employed by the Monroe County Board of Education as a third grade teacher at Samuel E. Hubbard Elementary School.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Carolyn Allen and the late Mr. Morgan (MG) Allen of Dublin and Mr. and Mrs. Allen (Mac) McElroy of Savannah.  

Miles is a graduate of Dublin High School.  He attended Georgia Southern University and he is a graduate of Darton College with a Physical Therapy Assistant degree.

The wedding is planned for Dec. 17, 2011 at the Dublin First United Methodist Church.  After a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple will make their home in Macon.
