Ross-Mayweather

MILLEDGEVILLE — Sandra Horton and the late Anthony Ross are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Nadirah Ross to Jeremy Mayweather, son of Jerry and Phyllis Mayweather of Statham.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Katie Travis and the late David Horton of Sparta, and Fred and Laura Ross of Sacramento, Calif. She graduated from Hancock Central High school (2003) and obtained a bachelor of arts degree in mass communication as well as a master of arts in teaching from Georgia College & State University.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mildred and Sam Hale, Mrs. May Hale and Will and Betty Mayweather of Statham. He graduated from Winder-Barrow High School (2002) and played basketball at Atlanta Metro College. He obtained a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Georgia College & State University and became the Peachbelt Player of the Year during his tenure as a GCSU Bobcat. He went on to obtain a master of science degree in special education from Walden University. Currently, Jeremy is the assistant director of Student Activities and the assistant men’s basketball coach at Central Georgia Technical College, and Nadirah teaches English Language Arts at Bloomfield Middle School in Macon. 

Jeremy and Nadirah will become one in the presence of God and loved ones July, 23rd,  2011 in Milledgeville.
