Celebrate Recovery, a 12-step Christ-centered addiction recovery program, is held at Northside Baptist Church, 1001 N. Jefferson St., Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. CWMG (Christian Widows/Widowers Ministry Group) meets the second Monday of each month at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Milledgeville at 1 p.m. The group promotes fellowship among widows and widowers and reaches out through Christian love to newly bereaved individuals. Serenity Hospice Care hosts a monthly grief support group for any community members who have lost loved ones. The group meets the third Thursday of every month at 4 p.m. in Warden's Hall at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 220 South Wayne Street. Hospice Care Options sponsors two monthly bereavement groups entitled “The Mourning After” that are free and open to the public. The first is held on the first Monday of each month at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church on S. Liberty Street. The second is co-sponsored by the GCSU Psychology Department and is held the last Monday of the month at 6 p.m. in room 1-15 in the Georgia College Arts and Sciences Building. Call (478) 453-8572.

N.A.M.I. (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Oconee is a grassroots support group for consumers, family, and friends of individuals with a severe mental illness/brain disorder. Oconee Community Service Board offers free and confidential rapid HIV testing and counseling. The services are offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Results are received in less than 30 minutes. Call (478) 445-0719 to schedule an appointment.

Reach to Recovery has trained breast cancer support volunteers who are available for contact and visitations. Survivors of Suicide Support Group meets at River Edge Behavioral Center, Blandy Way, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. the 4th Monday of each month providing an opportunity for people who have lost a loved one by suicide to connect with other survivors in a safe place and healing environment. Take Charge support group meets from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays in the Old Star Building at Oak Hill Middle School.
