David Bloodworth

BELTON, S.C. — David Bloodworth, 75, went to be with the Lord Friday, Nov. 30, 2012.  

Born in Toomsboro, he was the son of the late John W. Bloodworth and the late Fronis Gray Bloodworth. David was the loving husband to the late Bonnie Bailey Bloodworth.

David was a retired Construction Superintendent. He enjoyed music and family gatherings. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren with a great passion. He will be missed by all.

He is survived by his stepchildren, Larry Zapeline, Peggy Haynie and Ricky Sanders; grandchildren, Jason Haynie and Tonya Thomason; great grandchildren, Jada Thomason and Mia Sarsfield; brother, John Bernard Bloodworth (Sybil); and sister, Linda B. Avery.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Randall Paul, Clinton and Wylie W. Bloodworth; and sisters, Emma Maye Cherry and Margaret I. Bloodworth.

A graveside service was held Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Carolyn Phillips officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes and received friends on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at The McDougald Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions honoring Mr. Bloodworth may be made to Eternal Truths Ministries, P. O. Box 2663, Chesapeake, VA 23327.
