Walter L. “Frog” Garrett IV, 58, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Sparta Cemetery.
Mr. Garrett was born in England but had made his home in Hancock County. He worked as a truck driver for the state of Georgia, Oconee Sand & Gravel and Hill’s Farm Supply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Valda Garrett, III.
Survivors include a brother, Ellison Garrett (Kay Reese) of Eatonton; three sisters, Sally G. (Kenneth) Wells, Donna Garrett and Verne G. (Sam III) Hollis all of Sparta; a special uncle and aunt, Donald Garrett and Sally Garrett of Sparta; a number of nieces and nephews and his furry friends BP, Flash and Rat.
The family will receive friends today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
