Florence Kitchens

MILLEDGEVILLE —  

Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Shope Kitchens, 87, of Haddock will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in the New Salem Baptist Church in Jones County with the Rev. Eddie Windham officiating. Interment will follow in the Kitchens family cemetery in Jones County.

Mrs. Kitchens was a native of Newton County and had made her home in Jones County for most of her life. She was a retired employee of Kendall McGaw, the widow of the late Walter Kitchens and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Betty Jo Whidby, Grace Hollifield, Jimmy Kitchens and Bobby Kitchens of Haddock, Mary Ann Womack of Hampton, Nancy Crooms of Milledeville and Judy Roberts of Murrayville; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The family received friends at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory in Milledgeville on Monday evening.
