MILLEDGEVILLE — Mrs. Annie Joyce Mills Mercer, 72, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at 3 p.m. in Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville with the Rev. Gary Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Sunday Afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. to receive friends.

Mrs. Mercer was a native of Hancock County and had lived in Baldwin County for most of her adult life. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Annie Cate Johnson Mills. She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church and had retired from Central State Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Mercer; son, Shawn (Amanda) Mercer; and granddaughter, Emma Katherine Mercer all of Milledgeville; sisters, Helen Thrasher of Sweet Water, Tenn. and Evelyn Hagan of Statesboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions go to Mt. Hope Cemetery Fund, 118 S. Wilkinson St., Milledgeville, GA 31061.
