Alex D. Jackson

MILLEDGEVILLE — Alex D. Jackson, 89, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Baldwin Memorial Gardens with Brother Bobby Brooks officiating.

Mr. Jackson was a native of Hancock County but had made his home in Milledgeville. He was retired from the Water Treatment Plant at Central State Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Louise Dent Jackson, and his sister, Lois Reynolds. He was a member of the Milledgeville Church of Christ.

Survivors include his son, Mike Jackson (Alice) of Moreland; two grandchildren, Julie Marae Dingler of Sylva, N.C., and Laurie Margaret Jackson of Athens; and a great-grandson, Jackson Dingler.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Moores Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Milledgeville Church of Christ. Visit www.mooresfuneralhome.com to express tributes.
