Ms. Shirley Stanton of 285-B Gum Cemetery Road died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, in a local hospital.
Ms. Stanton will lie in state in Springhill Baptist Church at noon Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, with funeral services at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Don Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Ms. Marqueta Stanton, Ms. Alisha Renee Stanton and Ms. Celita Ashley Lashayn Stanton, all of Milledgeville; three grandchildren; brothers, Mr. Elvis Stanton of Decatur, Mr. Oliver Stanton Sr. of Milledgeville, Mr. Kenneth Stanton of Stone Mountain, Mr. Ronnie Stanton and Mr. Tyrone Stanton, both of Riverdale; and a host of other relatives also survive her.
The family will receive friends at 386 Soulville Circle, Sparta.
Slater’s Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
